h Moment of Silence for New York's Schools

About Usf

My name is Avraham Frank, andI have a mission. My goal is to make the world a better place by promoting a simple, profound program called The Moment of Silence. I want to assure you in advance that though I personally am a religious man, this program is not a religious one, does not require any belief in a higher power, and does not violate the separation of church and state. Atheists and religious people should find the program equally attractive.

I am a disciple of the world-renowned spiritual leader, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, also known as the Lubavitcher Rebbe. Rabbi Schneerson dedicated his life not only to the welfare of the Jewish people, but to the welfare of the entire world. He was a zealous advocate for education. In 1983, on the occasion of his 80th birthday, the United States Congress proclaimed Rabbi Schneerson's birthday as "Education Day, USA," and awarded him the National Scroll of Honor.

Before Rabbi Schneerson died in 1994 at the age of 92, he made known his wish to have all schools implement a Moment of Silence, affirming that this would be the most efficient way to improve society. I have taken it upon myself to make his dream a reality. Nothing has given me more satisfaction than the gratitude of principals, teachers, students and parents of the schools that have allowed me to guide them in the use of this simple program. I would love to add your school to the growing list of schools I am helping.

Together we will nurture our children with moral values, bringing goodness and kindness to all mankind
